Treatment of acute leukemia. This disease has more than rapid development and spread throughout the human body. The treatment of this disease must be started immediately, as soon as there is 100% confirmation of the diagnosis. The main treatment is chemotherapy, which is aimed at the erosion, and later on the complete destruction of leukemia cells in the human body. Also for the treatment of acute leukemia red blood cell transfusion, platelet transfusion, prevention of infectious complications are used.

Here is an exemplary treatment program that takes place in 2 stages:

1) Induction therapy is chemotherapy, which is aimed exclusively at the maximum destruction of leukemia cells, in order to achieve complete remission.

2) Chemotherapy after remission hinders recurrence of acute leukemia. This includes such methods as: consolidation, intensification and maintenance therapy.

Other therapeutic approaches are also used:

1) High-dose chemotherapy followed by transplantation of stem and hematopoietic cells (autologous or allogeneic).

2) Transfusion of donor lymphocytes.

3) Non-myelo-ablative hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

4) Drug treatment (nucleoside analogues, differentiating agents, monoclonal antibodies).

What kind of treatment program for lymphoma, the doctor chooses, will completely depend on its variety, as well as the condition of the patient.

On stages I-II, the probability of cure is very high. I also wanted to note the following, that if the disease is started at these stages, the correct treatment has good chances of success.

At stages I and IIA, the treatment itself is most often carried out by radiation therapy in combination with chemotherapy.

In the case of stages IIB and IIIA, methods of radiation therapy or chemotherapy are used for treatment.

With more spreaded stages of the disease (stages IIIB-IV), 6-8 cycles of chemotherapy are performed.

In case of an unfavorable course of lymphogranulomatosis, high-dose chemotherapy with autologous bone marrow transplantation will be the most effective treatment method.

Modern hematopoietic stem cell transplant technologies are used for diseases of the blood, nervous system and for autoimmune diseases. In combination with high-dose immunosuppressive therapy, this stem cell transplantation technique achieves excellent results in most autoimmune diseases. During this treatment, the main cause of the disease, diseased cells that destroy their own healthy tissues, is completely eliminated. A patient undergoes transplantation of stem cells obtained from bone marrow or from blood. Therefore, after transplantation, the patient recovers the immune system, which will subsequently be healthy. As a result, in those patients who for a long time have not been gaining health by the most modern drugs, in most cases a complete cessation of the disease progression is observed and the quality of life is significantly improved.

Stem cell transplantation has gained international recognition as the most effective treatment for a number of hematological diseases.
